Presidents Report November 2018

News Item

President report
I can still remember the day that I heard that some members of the Wilhelmina club decided to move on and started the Rembrandt club, it was in early 1978, 40 years ago. Where has the time gone?
Our anniversary celebration in January was a very pleasant afternoon and many members attended. Looking back over these 40 years a lot has happened and many things have changed.
Our monthly dance nights are history, the choir has gone, I still miss it, the carnival group does not exist anymore either, but after the first two years in a factory unit we moved into the present building and in the meantime have made these premises our home away from home, thanks to a lot of hard work from some of our volunteers.
Our club has always been very different, as we are the only fully licenced Dutch club in N.S.W. and not to forget our yearly Festival that for the last twenty years also has become a meet again event for the Dutch community in N.S.W
Despite all the changes throughout the 40 years we hope to keep going, WITH YOUR SUPPORT, for another 40 years.
Rest me only to acknowledge all our volunteers and my fellow committee members for all the time and effort that you have put in throughout the year.
J. Joosten president.
