Presidents Report October 2018

News Item

Next to the club I am also involved with Nepean Multicultural Access and I like to explain to our readers what N.M.A. is all about.                                                                                                                                             As the name indicates we look after the multicultural residents of the Nepean area, which means new arrivals as well as groups of migrants of the early days.

There are groups from South America, Sudan, a multicultural group and also a Dutch group.

These groups meet weekly at the Senior citizens centre on the corner of the Highway and Mamre Road, they get picked up from home by bus and brought home again after lunch

Some play cards or Rummy-cub and some days they will go on an outing, all this is very much subsidised by the government.

Who qualifies for this?

You got to be a senior and live in the Nepean area and you have to like your fellow countrymen. Lunch will be provided for a small fee.

If you are interested or want to know more about it you can call Elizabeth on 9833 2416 or see me at the club.

As they say, the more the marrier.

J. Joosten.
